RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Engility is in need of a Sr. Software Engineer to work on the Nucleus Program in Charleston, SC.

The Networked User Control of Locally Embedded and Unique Systems (NUCLEUS) display software consolidates the view and control of disparate C4I systems into a common display.

• Tasking includes program management, software development and maintenance; and specialized areas such as System and software engineering, Systems integration and testing, Prototype development, installation, and checkout, Quality assurance and configuration management, and Information Systems support.

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS with at least 9 years of related experience

• 7+ years of experience with Java

• 7+ years of experience Hibernate, Spring, J2EE, or combination

• Experience with the Agile software development methodology is highly desired

• Collaborate and consult with team members and Enterprise Integration Architecture management.

• Ensure successful implementation of components or products designed by directing the design and development of services

• Serve as a lead technical resource in the strategic oversight and planning of data models and database structural design and development.

• Monitor industry trends and directions; develop and present substantive technical recommendations to senior management.

• Provide extensive technical, strategic advice and guidance of the highest level to senior managers and technical resources in the creation and implementation of SOA technologies

• 7+ years of experience with C / C++

• Applicants selected for this position will require an interim DoD Secret clearance at a minimumand background screening.

• Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to translate complex technical terminology,concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technicalmanagement and resources staff

• Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in aprofessional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus

• Experience with software development life-cycle (SDLC)and object-oriented analysis and design, particularly with Agile softwaredevelopment

• Experience with embedded C / C++

• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
