Valley Forge Flag Company, Inc. is the nations second largest flag manufacturer. We have an excellent opportunity for a Shipping Manager at our distribution facility in Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage logistics of shipping and delivery to large retailers as well as smaller accounts
- Responsible for understanding and complying with routing guides and labeling
- Coordinate and control pick ticket distribution to pick and pack areas.
- Monitor product inventory and reconcile all physical inventory adjustments.
- Assist in hiring, training and evaluating employees to work productively with a high sense of professionalism, urgency and positive customer service attitude.
- Provide a productive, positive, and safe working environment while maintaining disciplinary policies
Required skills:
A Bachelors degree is preferred and/or 5 to 7 years of distribution experience
Experience shipping to large retail accounts including compliance with complex routing guides and labeling requirements
Self-motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on deadlines and objectives
Must possess strong and proven continuous process improvement skills as well as the ability to work with a team and motivate the team to do the same
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential
Computer literacy in internet usage, MS Word and Excel is required. JD Edwards experience preferred.
