Welder/Fitter at Charleston

Job Classification: Contract Aerotek has partnered with a manufacturer in the North Charleston area that has an immediate need for 4 Welder/Fitters. Please job requirements listed below. - Must be able to read blue prints and problem solve. - Welder fitter will be responsible for MIG welding and fitting of various metals.- Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weld able material by applying appropriate welding techniques. - Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. - Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. - Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. - May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. - Requires at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Interview Process:- Take and pass a 6G Weld Test- Multiple choice weld test (written)- Blueprint reading test (written/visual)Pay is $17-$20/hour based on the results of three tests.
