Student INTERNSHIP - Technical Writer* at GREENVILLE

Overview:

Agfa HealthCare Corporation has an exciting entry- level Student Internship opportunity for a Technical Writer.

Projects you will work on include:

• Assist with Business Continuity procedures/ diagrams
• Convert VMWare design guidelines for customers into a better document
• Create data flow diagrams for IMPAX
• Create data flow diagrams for IDC
• Assist with HHC dual data center diagrams and test plans
• VMWare turnkey small/med/large diagrams
• Documentation and diagrams of migration approaches/tools, including VMT, cache to cache, HSM to IDC backfill
• Document the monitoring we do with migrations

This position may be based out of the following location(s) and surrounding area:

Greenville, SC

Responsibilities:

Projects you will work on include:

• Assist with Business Continuity procedures/ diagrams
• Convert VMWare design guidelines for customers into a better document
• Create data flow diagrams for IMPAX
• Create data flow diagrams for IDC
• Assist with HHC dual data center diagrams and test plans
• VMWare turnkey small/med/large diagrams
• Documentation and diagrams of migration approaches/tools, including VMT, cache to cache, HSM to IDC backfill
• Document the monitoring we do with migrations

Responsibilities include:

• Work with Agfa Marketing to compile an Agfa graphic library representing Agfa components, infrastructure components, and 3 rd party components;
• Interview team members about given topic;
• Review and compile material in wide array of formats and construct single cohesive “customer facing” set of materials;
• Create Graphic Library of Agfa Components;
• Document and diagram Standard Agfa Architectures as identified by Solution Architect;
• Create diagrams for standard IMPAX configurations, for use by our team and PACS consultants as identified by Solution Architect

Qualifications:

• Must be current/ active student enrolled in an accredited technically oriented course of study
• Extensive knowledge of Visio or other similar diagramming tool;
• Able to conduct interviews of team members on specific topic;
• Able to compile multiple comments / feedback on work products into a cohesive single document;
• Able to conduct softcopy review cycles;
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word or similar word processing tool;
• Project Management skills a plus;
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Hours: 20-40 hours/week
• Salary: This is a paid internship. Salary will be based on college credits completed and experience

• Candidates must provide reliable transportation to and from work. Note: Reliance on local public transportation is NOT recommended.
