Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE:  ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: OPERATIONS

PURPOSE OF POSITION- Assists the Branch Manager in the daily operation and overall success of the branch. Assists existing customers and motivates potential customers in obtaining loans through the branch.


 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- The following represents the primary responsibilities that are normally assigned and regularly performed by this position:

  • Makes effective outside collection calls and reports activities to the Branch Manager
  • Telephones past-due customers
  • Adjusts past-due payment for current slow customers
  • Makes a detailed written description and appraises the value of security and other customer collateral, prepares written comments regarding the condition of collateral, recommends amount and term for loans
  • Assists in making monthly loan volume standards by soliciting loans over the telephone and at the counter
  • Transports money, deposits and computer disks to and from the bank with the appropriate escorts defined by policy
  • Obtains working knowledge of the business by taking training development exercises as directed by the Branch Manager and District Supervisor
  • Submits weekly progress reports, maintains daily tabulation of delinquency report, etc.
  • As prescribed by law, provides customer credit experience to inquiring creditors and credit bureaus
  • Takes and processes credit loan applications, completes loan documents, etc.
  • Accepts and posts counter payments, opens and posts mail payments, etc.
  • Closes current renewal loans, assists in mailing renewal material to customer, assists in mailing collection material to past-due customers etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigner or required

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS- Position reports to the Branch Manager.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION- MANAGER TRAINEE; NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  Seeking candidates with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, the willingness to be a team player, the desire to advance and a competitive, goal-oriented mindset.  Prior experience is not necessary, but a valid drivers license, dependable transportation and a high school education or equivalent are required.  Call or come by one of our locations to speak with a Branch Manager and/or District Supervisor for further details on your new career!
