As a leading innovator in friction technology development, we are currently searching for Design and Product Development Engineers who are aggressive, results oriented professionals with a passion for the automotive industry.
This Design and Product Development Engineer will be a hands-on person who can manage and participate in all aspects of product design, testing, manufacture and continuous product improvement. By applying knowledge of engineering principles, you will work with a technology leader in the product development process from design concept to mass production. You will be working with structural and thermal FEA simulations on various brake system components including: Calipers, Rotors, Hats and Caliper Brackets This position will be located in Clover, SC.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be highly motivated and driven to contribute to product solutions in a very competitive industry. A wide degree of creativity is expected.
- Ability to design in 3D and draft 2D working drawings and detail drawings using Solid Works.
- Have excellent problem solving skills with clear understanding of design / development processes.
- Must possess analytical skills, critical thinking and excellent communication skills including technical writing.
- Expect a high level of responsibility and accountability.
- Be able to function effectively in a team environment and communicate at a technical level.
- Demonstrated communication and documentation skills in order to clearly convey status updates, issues, etc.
- Natural talent for completing tasks in environments with multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with sometimes challenging deadlines and workloads. A high sense of urgency required.
- Be highly organized with demonstrated ability to follow-up and follow-through on commitments.
- Have ability to understand and apply key concepts quickly and accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Keen sense of Quality orientation with high attention to detail.
- Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required; Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
- Proficient in Solid Works or comparable 2+years of Solid Modeling experience is desirable.
- ANSYS or Comparable FEA experience.
- Geometric Dimension and Tolerance knowledge a plus.
