For more information, please visit www.dana.com.The key duties for this position are:2.1 Under the direction of senior level or Chief Product Engineer, initiate new design proposals, establish design parameters, reviewing product standards and specifications as necessary. 2.2 Conceive new designs or modify existing products which represent the optimum balance of cost, function, maintainability, reliability, serviceability and manufacturabi1ity.2.3 Direct or prepare own solid models, Pro engineer layouts, and complete design calculations for various component parts.2.4 Provide instruction by EWO to layout modelers, detailers, FEA engineers on design and dimensions of components, layouts as required to confirm design and evaluate progress, make corrections and verify correctness of final layout.2.5 Follow the NPD Design Review Process, providing all documentation at the appropriate design review and stage gate points. Work with program manager to maintain project timing, cost estimates, complete and present design reviews, customer presentations, OISR reports, at each designated phase of the design project.2.6 Prepare request for product cost estimate, evaluate actual against preliminary estimate. Prepare DFMEAs, design for assembly studies, and take corrective action as required.2.7 Prepare required engineering documentation and complete work orders including instructions for drawings, parts lists creation and/or any other required changes.2.8 Specify DVP&R plan, create, determine test criteria for parts designed, and coordinate completion of the test with the Engineering Lab.2.09 Evaluate test results, verify specifications achieved and make design changes as required to insure attainment of test specifications.2.10 Prepare materials, conduct design reviews, and make presentations as requested.2.11 Analyze competitive products to identify design strength and make appropriate reports.2.12 May make evaluation of application parameters and recommend guidelines, changes, required to result in proper application and life, reliability of the product.2.13 May evaluate unique application requests and make recommendation subject to approval by a senior or product engineer.Education Required: Bachelors Degree Manpower is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE/AA)
