TM Floyd & Company is hiring a Visual Basic Developer to assist with modifications to SMI (Systems Master Index) and API (Application Program Interface) developed to interface with SMI. The Visual Basic Developer will be responsible for:

• Performing analysis, design, programming, and implementation of systems and procedures to solve complex business problems
  
• Evaluating interrelationships of programs between departments
  
• Applying conversions and enhancements to business systems
  
• Working closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements
  
• Ensuring solutions are aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organizations standards
  
• Developing design and functional specifications and making recommendations toward the development and enhancement of code
  
• Designing and developing IT systems
  
• Devising new sources of data and developing new approaches and techniques

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming
• 2 years of Microsoft Access and SQL Server 2005/2008 development
• 2 years of database development experience
• 4 years of VBA and/or VB experience
• 4 years of software design and solutions design
• ASP.NET experience
• Experience programming and manipulating databases
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Extensive experience with face-to-face customer interactions during project design, development, implementation, and on-going maintenance
