Mechanical Engineer
Location: Greenville, SC 29615
Duration: 6 Months, potential to go permanent
Pay Rate: $43.27/hr.
Schedule: TBD

Job description:
Performs complex design for automotive Industry equipment (Assembly Line and Body Shop), development, testing and modifications of mechanical solutions. Performs explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Performs communication of complex technical and commercial issues. Completes recommendations for complex new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements. Supervises and directs Field Installation of Engineered Systems at customer site.
Key Responsibility: Performs full range of standard work for the professional field. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently. Identifies and resolves more complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations. Communicates with suppliers and customer for all technical designs and data.

Knowledge/Exper.:
Must have demonstrated experience in designing Automotive or relevant Material Handling Equipment, Conveyors Systems, Robotic applications. Specify Bill of Material, develop specifications of purchased components. Must have technical ability to prepare Maintenance and Operating Manuals for Systems and solutions. Troubleshoot installation and other field issues. Must be familiar with Electrical Controls and instrumentations used in Equipment.

Education:
BS/BA in mechanical engineering, or advanced degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:
Microstation/CATIA 3D software, AutoCAD, Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Project

Experience:
Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Direction of Others:
Provide general guidance or train support and/or professional staff.

Key Working Relationships:
Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.#CBRose#
