CNC Machinists

Wabtec has immediate openings for CNC Machinists in our Production Machining department. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select and load appropriate programs for work pieces being machined.
  
• Select, install, and adjust proper tooling and attachments for CNC programs and cycles. Inspect machines and tools for conformance to specifications and replace worn or broken parts.
  
• Inspect and measure machined work pieces to verify conformance to close tolerance specifications.
  
• Correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions by entering commands or changing control specifications.
  
• Replace worn or broken machine accessories such as cutting tools or abrasives.
  
• Change certain program parameters. Notify Manufacturing Engineering and other appropriate personnel of changes.
  
• Maintain machines through cleaning and minor repairs and adjustments such as oiling, adding coolant, etc.
  
• Follows all defined safety procedures and uses judgment to assure safe work methods.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  
• 5 years CNC experience or graduation from certified apprenticeship program and 1 year of CNC experience.
  
• CNC software performance and modification competency.
  
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and other technical documents.
