Programer/Analyst at Orangeburg

Job Description

Analyzes and develops computer program requirements and maintains application software by performing the following duties. Performs detailed system design and implementation functions within the application development process which involves preparing test data. Develops and maintains computer applications for County offices. Builds and manages databases (Microsoft Access, SQL, DB2) for specific projects requiring such tools. Creates reports and query user files. Enter program operating code and participates in correcting program errors. Creates and maintains procedural documentation. Debugs and tests applications that encounter errors. Develops simple procedures/applications to accommodate the end user to generate/gather data for analysis. Assists end users with questions and gives direction concerning signing on to the network/AS400. Conveys information to clients and County personnel in a concise and clear way. Uses knowledge of database and telecommunications software and methodologies. Assists in the management of user pcs, mobile devices, and system backups. Determines and develops prompt and effective programs assigned by the supervisor. Provides instruction and assistance to users regarding operations of PCs, printers, and programs.
