Job Description
The Director of Critical Care Services carries administrative authority and accountability for services provided to patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Telemetry services on a twenty-four hour basis. Demonstrates compliance with and enforcement of hospital philosophy and policies. The Director is accountable for creating an environment which fosters the participation of associates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of professional practice to ensure safe, efficient and effective patient care. This Director can expect to be involved in the care of adult patients, including the younger adult through geriatrics, and pediatric patients (occasionally) through adolescence, and is attuned to cultural diversity. Operations, budgeting, and strategic planning, as well as development of staff both clinically and professionally, are crucial.
Job Requirements
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, and PALS required.
Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required;Masters Degree in Nursing or related field preferred..
A minimum of five years experience in critical care required; minimum of two years experience in a management, leadership, and/or education role in a health care facility preferred.
