Transportation - Account Manager at Columbia

We have a new dedicated trucking account inColumbia, SCarea that requires an on-site account managers leadership immediately with start-up of services in the near future. . This is an opportunity to startwith a new situation and grow with the business.


Job responsibilities/experience:

  • Effective leadership experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • KPI process development/tracking to meet/exceed customers needs
  • Use KPIs as part of Continuous Improvement (CI)
  • Excellent communications skills---verbal and written
  • Superior focus on customer relationships
  • Must be able to manage drivers and administrative/dispatch personnel
  • Strong problem solving skills, good judgment and a decision maker
  • Prefer transportation background/experience
  • Must be able to work with on-site carrier partner to produce positive customer results
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in fast paced, changing environment

Job Requirements

Education/Skills:

  • Four-year college degree or significant related experience
  • Knowledge of AS400 experience preferred or willingness/ ability to learn quickly
  • Skilled in MS Office Suite
