SAP BPC Consultant at Newberry

Job Description

The purpose of the business process engineer is to create business value through business process improvement, process training, project implementation, and development of application components.
Participate in the development and architecture of the SAP BPC planning and reporting tool
Collect requirements from business users and present to management
Develop and create financial Reports, Input Forms, process flows, etc.
Create templates utilizing advanced Excel functionality
Responsibility for the maintenance of the SAP BPC financial system. Maintenance activities includes:
Coordinating monthly reporting and planning processes
Updating user security, chart of accounts and management organization structure
Oversee the loading and validating of actual data from source systems
Updating data dimensions and managing complex mapping files to derive management reporting views
Resolving performance and capacity issues
Coordinate with IT to install SAP EPM Service Packs and Hotfixes
Coordinate with IT perform EPM code and object migrations and backups between Dev, QA and Production environments
Provide all end user technical support and training, including writing reports.t
Analyzing business requirements to determine the feasibility of new models, and produce design specifications for reporting requirements and needs.

Ability to manage multiple and prioritize effectively to maintain a high level of support to business customers.
Maintains technical and professional knowledge by attending training classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Other include audit support, reporting financial results to parent company, working closely with Corporate Finance on common goals.

Job Requirements

2+ years overall experience with a background in financial systems maintenance or a desire to get into financial systems.
Minimum of two years of SAP PBC or Hyperion Planning, consolidation experience.
BS in Computer Science, or Accounting , or Finance, or related professional experience
Understanding of BPC system design principles, including: Application design(structure and dimensionality),BPC hierarchies and properties.
Handling complex scenarios in BPC.
Understanding Script Logic and Dimension Logic (MDX and SQL).

Past experience with FICO/New GL/BW
Experience in financial planning or accounting
