Performance Improvement Coord at Easley

Job Description



Job Summary: All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Baptist Easleys values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. In addition, this job also coordinates Quality initiatives designed to improve the delivery of care and safe patient care. Assists nursing and medical staff in modifying clinical practice guidelines utilizing evidence based medicine. Analyzes and trends data, evaluates outcomes, and participates in developing plans of care for patients.

Job Requirements



Education: RN degree required, BSN preferred

Experience: 3-5 years clinical nursing experience

Number and Type of Employees Supervised: TBD

Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Current nursing license tp practice in South Carolina

Special Training: Certification in Quality encouraged, ACLS. BLS

Age of Patients Rendered Care: Neonate/Infant Early Childhood Adolescent Adult

Geriatric All Age Groups

Key Responsibilities:

Acts as a consultant in clinical practice.

Assist staff to modify practices based on scientific evidenced based practice.

Utilizes quality results to develop educational activities and modifies nursing practice accordingly. Assures compliance with documentation standards.

Collaborates with quality committees to develop and implement quality improvements.

Continuously assesses and improves performance within the hospital by redesigning processes through data, analyzing the data, implementing improvement, and improving sustainable performance improvement, and participating in PI activities.

Serves as a resource to others in educating staff in the PDSA process.

Serves as a liason with other campuses in coordinating PI best practices.
