SpeedBuilder Systems, Inc. (SBS) has a large new-development project and needs Java Web Developers in Columbia, South Carolina.  You will be part of a small team, where you can make a difference! 

We are not a “support shop" in a big bank or other company – we are a software company.  That makes working here different; if a deadline is missed at a big company, often it is no big deal – the project launch is just delayed.  However, as a software company, we must produce for clients and we live and die based on successful project delivery. 

This means:

·  We have small project teams of just a few developers; so, everyone must carry their own weight
·  You will work on multiple clients and projects, doing almost all new development… not code maintenance
·  Your input matters – we encourage new ideas and approaches

Job Requirements

ALL CANDIDATES:
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.  Masters Degree preferred.

Senior Developers -- must have at least 4-5 years experience with Java development.  Skill sets we will test in our online test include:
Core Java/J2EE
JSP/ Javascript
JQuery
Struts 2.0
Hibernate
Database/SQL
 
 Applicants will also be asked to write a core java coding solution in 1 hour.

Junior Developers -- must have at least Bachelor’s degree as specified above, including basic coursework in Java programming language.  Work experience a plus. 

Applicants will be asked to write a core java coding solution in 1.5 hours; you may also impress us by taking our online test (optional).
