Job Description:
The Analytical Chemist is responsible for performing analytical method development and validations, method transfers, stability studies, and support new product development activities. In addition to these responsibilities the Analytical Chemist will assist in training and perform equipment maintenance/calibration.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and leading analytical aspects for assigned development projects.
- Responsible for timely completion of projects.
- Responsible for performing or managing the chemical and physical testing associated with assigned projects to include raw material, in-process, finish product, validation, stability, and process support testing.
- Responsible for performing any special projects as assigned.
- Writing and executing laboratory SOPs and validation protocols.
- Responsible for the general maintenance of the Laboratory including good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
- Responsible for practicing all applicable cGMPs.
- Documents raw and final data to ensure complete and proper documentation according to procedures and applicable cGMPs.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures, safety, health, and cGMP Guidelines.
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Order and maintain appropriate level of laboratory supplies.
- Assist in training of new employees on all applicable SOPs and tasks.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Chemistry with a minimum of 4 years experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory or an advance degree with 1 years of experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory.
- Proficient with current word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to a team-oriented work environment by developing positive working relationships with other departments.
