Job Description
Established, growing, global and family oriented company has an opportunity for a Purchasing Engineer at their manufacturing facility in the beautiful upstate of SC. Duties likely will encompass supply chain development and evaluation, delivery and price negotiations, value analysis, cost reduction, purchasing information systems in a lean culture. There is a 50 million dollar spend and light travel involved.
Job Requirements
- BSME or BSIE
- at least 7 years experience working in a manufacturing setting
- demonstration of success measurements in the area of purchasing and specifying of some of the following castings, capital equipment, machined components, stampings, tooling, finishing
- lean manufacturing knowledge
- very good communication skills
- experience with value analysis, price negotiations, supply chain development and evaluation, purchasing information systems and delivery negotiations
- valve or flow control knowledge / experience is a plus
