Job Description

SUMMARY

Supervise the Warehouse outbound activities ensuring effective operations through compliance with company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise activities within a team environment; coordinate workloads, priorities, and schedules to meet service standards

Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and are in accordance with OSHA standards. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment

Assist in maintaining the security of the facility

Assure company productivity and quality standards are met.

Maintain clean, neat and orderly work areas throughout the warehouse

Address and remedy employee complaints by effective recommendations to company supervision, effectively recommends disciplinary action, actively participates in performance evaluations, exercises independent judgment (anything out of the norm needs supervisor approval).

Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, training, counseling, and disciplining staff

Minimum of 80 percent of time on production floor

Identify areas for improvement

Develop and implement procedures to enhance efficient operations

Perform position related duties as assigned or requested

Assist in orienting and training other warehouse associates

Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years of progressive warehousing or similar experience
• Previous supervisory experience within a distribution or warehousing environment is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College degree or equivalent preferred
• Excellent written and oral communications and time management skills are a must

• Outbound Shipping experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 70lbs
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
