Job Description
Position: Field Service Technician
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 3 month contract to hire
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 40 hrs per week, M-F, 8am - 5pm
Duties / Experience Desired
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers needs.
- May require an associates degree or its equivalent.
- Requires at least 2 - 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
- Strong customer service oriented individual with OEM B/F experience.
- Deskside support of Microsoft OS and Office Products is preferred.
- Printer support of Xerox and Lexmark is preferred.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must have A+ Certification
Candidate needs to be ok and able to drive a lot. Territory will consist of a 70 mile radius.
