Field Service Technician at Columbia

Job Description

Position: Field Service Technician

Location: Columbia, SC

Duration: 3 month contract to hire

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 40 hrs per week, M-F, 8am - 5pm

 

 

Duties / Experience Desired

 

  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
  • Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
  • Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
  • Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
  • Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers needs.
  • May require an associates degree or its equivalent.
  • Requires at least 2 - 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Works under general supervision.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Strong customer service oriented individual with OEM B/F experience.
  • Deskside support of Microsoft OS and Office Products is preferred.
  • Printer support of Xerox and Lexmark is preferred.
  • Must have clean driving record.
  • Must have A+ Certification

 

Candidate needs to be ok and able to drive a lot. Territory will consist of a 70 mile radius.
