Web Content/Technical Writer

Are you an experienced Technical Writer looking for a new position in Columbia, SC? Do you have strong creative writing skills and experience with developing web content? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

TM Floyd & Company is hiring a Web Content/Technical Writer to write, edit, and organize content and to communicate effectively with multiple departments to reach a common goal. The Web Content/Technical Writer will be able to:

• Explain work methods and processes so that other departments have an understanding of the content development approach
  
• Display an understanding of writing web-focused content
  
• Exhibit familiarity with AP style
  
• Present a high comfort level with HTML, SEO, or web analytics

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree in creative writing, English, journalism, communications, or a similar degree with a writing focus
• 5 years of experience in a position where writing was a primary responsibility
• Strong understanding of writing techniques as well as rewriting and proofing skills
• Familiarity with content management systems including WordPress, Kentico, Sitecore, Sitefinity, and Drupal
• Proficiency in Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office
