Newly created position to support growth and accelerated processes of the manufacturing facility.
- Develops product/process designs and implements production methods to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Develop and maintain BOMs in the ERP System
- Develop and maintain production routers
- Provides engineering support for the development of railway maintenance equipment.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to improve productivity, reduce lead time, create cost savings, and facilitate a safe environment
- Facilitates production processes by meeting with appropriate departments regarding production capabilities, production schedules and other considerations
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future production requirements/potential
- Develops continuous improvement using lean methodologies to drive improvements.
- Develops and implements product qualification protocols
- Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment

Job Requirements
BACKGROUND PROFILE:-
- Shop Floor / Hands on Degreed Engineer – BS in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
- Experience in low volume, job shop, or heavy equipment assembly operation
- Process Optimization
- Strong Mechanical background
- Part presentation and deliveries
- Cost savings across multiple product lines
- 5 + years experience in manufacturing engineering
- 2 or more years Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data
- Should understand a Value Stream Structure
- Area and cell layout
- Familiar with AutoCAD and SolidEdge
- Familiar with Team Center (a major plus)
