Job Description

DP Professionals is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract in Columbia, SC.

 

The Business Analyst will be responsible for leading development initiatives that support the bank’s loan origination systems.  Principal responsibilities include:

 

• Requirements elicitation
• Customer site visits
• Business process descriptions
• Use cases
• Data analysis
• Workflow analysis

 

Successful candidates for the position of Business Analyst will have experience in the banking and finance industry. CBAP or other industry certification is a definite plus!

 

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with one of largest financial institutions in South Carolina. Our client is a growing lending institution with over $30 billion in assets. Job Requirements

Required Education/Work Experience:

• 5+ years of strong Business Analysis experience, preferably in Banking or Finance is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred

Preferred Certifications:

• BA/BPM certificate or CBAP certification a plus

Required Skills:

• Fully aware of industry standard documentation practices, such as:
  • UML
  • BPMN
• Familiar with performing stakeholder interviews, gathering and documenting requirements, document standards (use cases, process flow diagrams, business rules, data mapping, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven record of successfully working with IT groups, end users, and other business teams.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solutions-oriented and able to make independent decisions
• Ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• In depth understanding of the end-to-end requirements life cycle

Desired Skills:

• Prefers candidate with experience in finance or banking
• Experience in at least one of the following areas:
  • Lending/credit
  • Loan origination
  • Credit analysis
  • Correspondent/SMM lending
• Consumer, commercial, and/or mortgage lending experience highly preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, SQL Server Management Studio, and SSRS a plus
