Come join a fast growing company that strives for world class performance from our company and our people. This is a 1st shift position. Scheduled hours are M-Thu 6:30am-3:30pm & Fri 6:30am-12:30pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
• Sets up and Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; sets tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculates requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proves part programs
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work piece; adheres to our customer standards
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; takes measurements; detects malfunctions; troubleshoots processes; adjusts and reprogramming controls; sharpens and replaces worn tools; adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshoots malfunctions
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least three (3) years of experience programming and machining with CNC Lathe.

Skills and Abilities:

• Be able to program and setup using Fanuc controls with G & M Codes
• Competent skills using micrometers, calipers, indicators and other inspection gages
• Machinist must have their own tools
• Candidate is subject to drug test
