This company is a successful and thriving company that manufactures and markets consumer products globally. This loction has grown by 600 employees in two years and is still growing through new product development and acquisitions.The Procurement Manager will manage the spare parts procurement department for all product lines including operations and logistics functions for over $1.5B of product.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage and staff the spare parts procurement department efficiently and cost effectively.
- Maximize the customer fill rate and service level to internal and external customers.
- Maximize inventory turns.
- Track and devise methods to improve performance.
- Liaison with suppliers, engineering, accounting, sales and customer service.
- Responsible for month end reporting and financial analysis of team budget.
- Monitor, review and modify spare parts forecast model to ensure accuracy and cost effective purchase of parts.
- Coordinate and monitor phase out of older tools to ensure availability of critical parts after tool is out of production.
- Negotiate and maintain budget for daily operations and analytics functions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. C.P.M. or APICS certification preferred.- Minimum 5 years Purchasing, Planning and/or Supply Chain Management experience.
- Proficient in ERP Systems, SAP and Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Good organizational and analytical skills, preferably use of Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Ability to use good judgment and think outside the box.
- Must be flexible.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
