Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specification, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support of requirements.
Five (5) years of technical experience in support of task specific project. Note: Experience may be concurrent.
Experienced Systems Engineer with background in leading and/or supporting enterprise software development and sustaining projects
Experience with strategic planning, designing, and implementation oversight of all aspects of software development based on customer objectives and milestones
Experience developing engineering change proposals, basis of estimates, and schedules for all aspects of the software project lifecycle.
Experience developing multi-year hardware and software procurement planning
Experience with risk and opportunity management, developing project schedules, and frequent project status reviews with senior management and customer program managers
Senior System Engineer for GCSS-MC Oracle R12 upgrade.

IS&GS-Defense provides full-service mission information technology solutions to defense and other agencies of the U.S. government. Enterprise-level network and data-centric programs include managing and operating the Pentagons network backbone infrastructure, provisioning U.S. Air Force communications and data needs in the National Capital Region, and supporting the IT needs of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
GCSS-MC enhances the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) warfighting capability by providing an integrated enterprise logistics system which supports supply, maintenance, acquisition, transportation, health, and engineering capabilities. GCSS-MC operational capabilities include improved materiel readiness and logistics support provided to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). The scope of work is to upgrade GCSS-MC to the latest version of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS). Oracle products are used to support the GCSS-MC/LCM. Release 1.1 of the GCSS-MC system is currently in production, architected as a single Enterprise instance, and is currently fielded to over 36,000 users.
The candidate selected for this position must have demonstrated experience in project management, specifically leading software projects through various stages of the software lifecycle. In addition, the candidate must effectively communicate with program management and key customers on project strategies, designs, budgets, schedules, and implementation status.
An applicant must be self-motivated, organized, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, possess an ability to solve technical problems requiring attention to detail, have both collaborative and independent work process capabilities. An applicant should have the capacity to embrace diverse technical disciplines and have excellent customer intimacy skills (i.e. listening, understanding, questioning in a non-threatening manner, differentiating between customers wants and needs, and ability to deliver on those needs). This position requires the ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to learn new skills quickly while on the job.
