Athletics Coordinator South Carolina Governors School for Science and Mathematics (GSSM) Overview: The Athletics Coordinator assists the Director of Athletics in providing quality programming and logistical support for GSSMs athletic and intramural programs. He/She also assists in the supervision of our athletic facility including the fitness center and athletic field, supporting wellness and safety. The Athletics Coordinator will be required to coach one sport as a part of his/her position. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a bachelors degree with related experience in coaching and/or athletics; facility coordination experience preferred and good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organize, and basic computer skills required. Some evening work and weekend work is expected. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with education, experience and unique capabilities. Position Details: The Athletics Coordinator is a full-time, 10-month position with full benefits available. The position start date is flexible from now through the beginning of next school year (August 1, 2014). GSSM is recognized among the top public elite high schools in the nation. We are a statewide, public residential high school for 11th and 12th graders specializing in the advanced study of science and mathematics.
