Mechanical Designer  –  Mechanical Engineer  – SolidWorks Designer Description:

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical product design
• Perform engineering changes, including change recommendations, execution system database changes, hard copy and system change records documentation
• Coordinate with engineering team, manufacturing, field service and quality assurance to monitor quality and reliability
• Make recommendations for improvements or solutions to products
• Investigate product problems relating to alleged product malfunctions, customer use, maintenance methods, design changes, product documentation, etc. and recommend corrective actions
• Assist Engineering Specialist when defining new items, bills of material and routings along with maintaining cross reference data base
• Help manage engineering data, CAD files, hard copies, scanning vendor prints, project files, technical construction files, engineering and production documentation

Job Requirements

Mechanical Designer  –  Mechanical Engineer  – SolidWorks Designer Requirements:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 7 years of relative experience, including hands-on manufacturing support
• Proficient with 3D CAD Modeling – must have experience with SolidWorks
• Proven self-starter, good interpersonal and time management skills, and ability to work in a team environment with minimal direction
• Bill of Materials experience
