Main Purpose of the Job
The Program/Logistics Supervisor provides focus on each new program assigned. He/She manages up to 12 teams and is responsible for keeping theP/L requirements on target, on time, to budget.
Main Duties/Activities
- Develop all P/L Budget line items for the assigned program
- Conduct On-Site Customer and Supplier Readiness reviews, then develop and manage Up-to Schedule Plans
- Interface with all appropriate Program Management, Engineering, Launch and Plant personnel to proactively manage relevant items, contain costs, ensure Customer and Company timelines/milestones are met, supplier and plant issues addressed
- Track assigned programs, highlight bottlenecks, timing issues, cost concerns, inefficiencies, customer requirements
- Provide improvement recommendations, and champion implementing approved recommendations
- Highlight and advise Management regarding issues affecting Program Success
- Provide program team with all Company and customer required documentation
- Develop logistics, perform freight analysis, interface with carriers, resolve carrier issues
- Develop packaging requirements, quotes, allocate containers as needed, resolve packaging issues
Skills and Know-how
- Bachelor of Science in a related Logistics or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Masters Degree preferred
- 5-10 years experience
- "Quick" in-plant evaluation ability from prior manufacturing experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- The ability to travel at least 10% of the time
- Global experience
