Provide engineering shop support engine product Be the first engineering point of contact when issues arise on the shop floor, find route cause, determine and implement interim corrective action. Engage product engineering team and provide support for design and implementation of permanent corrective action. Represent product engineering in daily and weekly operations meetings to discuss, determine route cause and agree follow-up actions for potential missed Committed Ship Dates (CSD), missed Start On-Line (SOL) and Point of Use (POU) issues. Coordinate re-work to inventory materials required as a result of engineering changes. Coordinate completion and sign-off of deviations for productJob Requirements
Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree combined with industry experience. Possess a strong electrical or mechanical aptitude together with an ability to develop and articulate product concepts. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints. Excellent judgment and decision making ability. Good written and oral communication skills, multitasking ability, organization skills and computer ability. Will be required to work in a team environment and with a diverse group of employees and customers; have the ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers and suppliers.
