Senior GL Accountant at Simpsonville

Description:   

A successful candidate for this role will be responsible for and should have experience in the following:

• Corporate consolidations of foreign and domestic subsidiaries using FDM and HFM.
• Foreign accounting and US GAAP adjustments;
• Foreign exchange accounting, FX gains & losses, CTA, etc;
• Oracle financials to include creating and posting journal entries, account inquiries, creating new companies and sets of books; etc;
• Reconciling general ledger accounts including intercompany accounts;
  revenue recognition;
• Process improvements related to the month end closing process;
  analyzing financial statements;
• Assisting external auditors with the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audits;
• Assisting with special projects on an ‘as-needed’ basis;
• Mapping local ledgers to the Corporate ledger;
• Assisting with SEC reporting;
• Sarbanes Oxley.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree
• Minimum of 4 years applicable experience

Qualifications:

• Strong systems knowledge demonstrated (Oracle  E-Business Suite preferably Oracle)
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Excellent skills in Financial Statement analysis and experience in Sarbanes Oxley compliance
• Experience in dealing with international subsidiaries and foreign currency translation accounting 
• Experience with Account Reconciliations, External Audits and SEC reporting
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly advanced in Excel)
