PeopleSoft Production Support Analyst-Relocation to Charleston, SC at Charleston

Job Description

Overview:

STG has been working operations and maintenance of financial systems with the Department of State in Charleston, South Carolina for over 10 years. We now have an exciting and challenging opportunity to work on a new global payroll system. For this reason we are looking for individuals who are up to this challenge and willing to learn how payroll is implemented globally in over 175 countries and over 135 currencies.

The PeopleSoft Production Support Analyst working for STG in Operations and Maintenance (O&M) for the U.S. Department of State (DoS) will plan, perform analysis, document, and test and evaluate PeopleSoft compensation system business requirements for the payroll business owner. This implementation is based on both North American and Global Payroll instances of PeopleSoft Payroll.

Relocation to Charleston, South Carolina is required

Responsibilities:
  • Identify recurring Business Process and Payroll Year End activities that include configuration updates, testing, and roll out.
  • Diagnose and resolve PeopleSoft system related questions to ensure the accuracy of business critical systems. Interact with database administrators, developers, and business system users in this effort.
  • Research and analyze interfaces to enterprise-wide systems.
  • Analyze, design and test solutions to complex production problems.
  • Write Reports.
  • Troubleshooting system issues.
  • Analyze system updates.
  • Create and disseminate procedures/documentation and training material.
  • Participates actively within the team by sharing information.
  • Displays self-confidence and shows strong initiative.
  • Adhere to compliance standards.
  • Effectively communicate and translate technical concepts to the user community and fellow team members.
  • Demonstrates well-developed communication skills.

Job Requirements

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND ELIGIBLE FOR A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must have college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related areas.(Equivalent experience can be substituted for a degree.)

  • Must have 6 years experience and a strong working knowledge of Compensation Systems.
  • Must have at leastfour years of specialized experience
  • Must have experience with payroll processing.
  • Must have PeopleSoft American/Global Payroll Application experience.
  • Must have troubleshooting skills, strong analytical and issue resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are imperative. Ability to communicate technical problems to a non-technical audience and leadership team.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing organization while simultaneously looking for foundational improvements.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with understanding for all levels of the team.

The production support requires a very strong functional knowledge of peoplesoft payroll. It is also a customer interface so requires strong organizational, verbal and written skills.
