Manufacturing Systems Lead at Anderson

Job Description

First Quality is a privately-held group of manufacturing companies who are leaders in their respective field. The organization is run by hands-on owners with dynamic expansion plans to significantly increase the size of the business over the next few years. Due to this growth, the company is looking for a Manufacturing Systems Lead. This role is responsible for all IT improvements and enablement of process improvements for the Manufacturing functions at our Anderson, SC facility.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Own/Lead SGV Strategy, Business Case, Functional definition, Architecture development, design, deployment, and support strategies for Self-Guided Vehicle systems.

• Must be hands on with applications and technology tools to deliver solutions with an ability to manage priorities and deliver results with limited resources.

• Responsible for leading the factory automation information technology process based on user demands and business requirements.

• Create competitive advantage through IT with continuous focus on revamping the internal technology base of the Manufacturing systems functions to promote continuous improvement in productivity.

• Apply technical skills towards design, documentation, implementation, and testing/validation of PLC/HMI and SGV applications.

Successful candidates will have the following skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in business process area.

• Design review and project management experience preferred.

• Databases, server infrastructure and MS Office applications required.

• Experience in SGVs and VB Development in a process oriented manufacturing environment a plus.

• Proficiency with: JBT SGV Manager 3000; PLC/DCS programming; HMI/SCADA programming; VBA; .NET; SQL; SQL Server and/or Oracle; and JD Enterprise One.
