Security Analyst

Are you an experienced Security Analyst looking for a new position in Columbia, SC? Do you have hands-on experience documenting, deploying, and managing all aspects of security within an enterprise organization? If so, we may have just the opportunity for you!

TM Floyd & Company is hiring a Security Analyst to be responsible for tracking and monitoring security incidents and enforcing security policies and procedures. The Security Analyst will administer and monitor security profiles, review security violation reports, and investigate possible security exceptions and updates, as well as maintain and document security controls. The Security Analyst will also be responsible for the following day-to-day tasks:
  • Preparing status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
  • Providing direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues
  • Educating IT and the business about security policies and consulting on security issues regarding the systems
  • Producing detailed documentation on all existing security policies, practices, and technical configurations
  • Documenting recommendations on improvements along with high level estimates on associated work effort
  • Monitoring and assessing current systems and recommending security enhancements

Job Requirements

  • Hands-on experience documenting, deploying, and managing Active Directory, network access policies, Firewalls, anti-virus, security compliance for third party/in-house applications, virtualization and storage area networking security, and backup policy security
  • Experience preparing and submitting security program evaluations and compliance reports
  • Experience developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of a successful security program
  • Experience developing and maintaining company security practices and processes on investigating and documenting suspicious incidents and policy violations
  • Expert on Windows Server 2008, SharePoint 2010, Project 2010, SCCM 2012
  • Expert with Active Directory administration
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP
  • Extensive working knowledge of Internet protocols, tools, and techniques including VPN, LAN, and WAN
