Job Description

adidas America, Inc. seeks Assistant Business Solutions Manager (EDI) in Spartanburg, SC. The purpose of this role is to:

Provide 24x7 support of daily operations of adidas Group NAM EDI Operations for all Wholesale and Retail Division brands, customers and vendors including highly technical areas of EDI such as working with the translator and mapping tool applications, application vendors, local and global IT infrastructure and DBA teams and application interfaces.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Provide backup and advanced level support to Business Solutions Analyst (EDI).
• Maintain department documentation.
• Aid in IT claims reconciliation for Global IT NAM.
• Level III escalation point for day-to-day trading partner communications, enhancements and issue resolution. Determine when escalation of issues is needed, document, and facilitate hand off to next level.
• Responsible for routine to complex/advanced technical mapping using ANSIX12, VICS, and EDIFACT standards.
• Provide advanced support for EDI implementations for all trading partners including customers, vendors, and internal applications.
• Conduct internal testing with other company applications (i.e. SAP Release, Unit, Regression, and User Acceptance).
• Act as point of contact on large scale, high visibility/impact projects.
• Responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives of large scale projects that reach beyond the boundaries of EDI.
• Responsible for developing, planning, and implementing EDI interfaces to and from SAP AFS, SAP Retail and other internal applications using Inovis Trusted Link Enterprise (TLE) Software.
• Collaborate with the Business Solutions Manager (EDI), internal and external stakeholders, and business owners to identify system and process changes leading to improved supportability, scalability, and service.
• Ensure availability for on-call and weekend duties as directed.

• Effectively interact with all levels of business via phone, written communication and in person.

The enthusiasm to foster key relationship with the following customers / client groups:

• Internal business customers NAM Shared Services
• Global IT, market and global (HQ) colleagues, including infrastructure
• External customers including IT vendors, contractors (where applicable)

A successful Assistant Business Solutions Manager (EDI) will convey the following knowledge, skills and abilities / minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a related technical field and 4 years of EDI experience
• Four years project management experience is required.
• Three years of experience with business process analysis, including how to define problems, collect data, establish facts, document findings, draw valid conclusions, and propose solutions
• Three years of experience implementing current IT/EDI principles and EDI business processes in consumer product and manufacturing industries
• Three years of experience in utilizing the application deployment life cycle with strong analytical, systems, and structured analysis, and with the ability to view issues and requirements from a business perspective.
