Responsibilities:
- Prepare in-house patent applications
- Prosecute patent applications
- Manage all patent applications personally or with outside counsel.
- Work closely with the inventors.
Duties:
- Investigate and gather facts with regards to proposed inventions
- Research legal precedents
- Draft necessary legal documents
- Perform patent prosecutions and develop conclusions and recommendations on all matters
- Provide oral and written legal recommendations, alternatives and consequences regarding problems presented
Preferences:
- Fluency in a second language other than English is preferred, ideally French

- Strong teamwork

Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
- 3 - 5 years experience as an engineer
- Juris Doctorate degree
- State Bar certification and registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
- 3 - 5 years experience in the practice of evaluating inventions, patent preparation, and patent prosecution.
