Physical Therapist at Beaufort

This is a permanent full time position located in the Branch Health Clinic, on board Marine Corps Recruit Depot, South Carolina. The purpose of this position is to obtain and carry out Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment, or prevent physical disability or disease, for United States Military Medical (TRICARE) beneficiaries.

    KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must maintain current Physical Therapy license.

·  Performs comprehensive evaluations of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and sensory motor systems of patients with orthopedic, medical and surgical diagnosis using appropriate screening or diagnostic testing.

·  Implements treatment plans to facilitate optional return to a functional status utilizing the department’s equipment and resources as appropriate.

·  Discuss with physicians and other health care providers information regarding the patient’s disability and treatment plans.

·  Maintains health records and/or patient files in accordance with Navy and department regulation and guidelines.

·  Participates in a quality assurance program to include record audits and utilization reviews. 

·  Supervises and directs support personnel in the performance of patient treatment plans.

·  Documents evaluations and treatments using DOD Electronic Record Keeping System (AHLTA).

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Successfully completed 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR/
A combination of experience as described in the first statement above and education described in the above statement; when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.

 

Must maintain current Physical Therapy license through national licensure examination.

 

Must be able to attain and maintain a favorably adjudicated Access National Agency Check and Inquiries (ANACI)/National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks (NACLC) background investigation for a non-critical sensitive position with access to a network system.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade.  All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.

 

Selectee is required to participate in the Department of Defense direct deposit of pay program.
