Classification: Desktop Support

Compensation: $15.24 to $20.08 per hour

Robert Half Technology is actively seeking a Desktop/Network Administrator. The Desktop/Network Administrator works with a team administering Windows-based environments, working with enterprise database systems, implementing and troubleshooting desktop computer applications, and providing technical support to non-technical individuals on the use of software applications. Working with network environments and concepts including VPNs, clustering, load balancing, VLANs, and firewalls. Implementing and troubleshooting desktop computer applications. Providing technical support to non-technical individuals on the use of software applications or technical concepts. Maintains day-to-day network operation and maintenance under the direction of the management team. Implements tools to monitor network health and security; generates alerts and reports; evaluates, maintains, and implements networking technologies as needed. Provides operational support for onsite servers and applications. Supports VMware server infrastructure. Installs, maintains and patches server-based applications. Installs and maintains Microsoft Windows-based servers and infrastructure services in both physical and virtual environments as required (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services). Installs and configures new hardware as required. Sets up and manages all company email accounts (Exchange 2003 and 2010). Provides customer service to end users on various technologies. Provides help desk support to all company personnel.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have two (2) years of college or equivalent post-high-school education. At least two years experience in Windows technologies in a diverse operating system environment. Minimum two years of Windows Desktop Administration experience.Preferred Certifications:Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) a plus. A+ and Net+ Certification Preferred
