INSIDE SALES ENGINEER

This position functions primarily with contact to customers, employees and management, and Manufacturer’s Reps.  The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for providing Customer Driven Focus while selling and supporting our customers.  The ISE provides technical expertise, application analysis and product selection.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• With the primary focus on customer service and exceeding the customer’s needs, the ISE will provide a high level of technical expertise in a prompt and timely fashion to sell and support the sales of AMBAC International. 
• The ISE will promptly handle phone calls, emails, faxes, and all communications; review drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
• The ISE will communicate directly and indirectly with both internal and external staff members and customers, facilitating a seamless process flow from quotation to order to shipment processing.
• Accept, handle, manage and respond to inquiries, RFQ’s, orders and questions from customers.
• Works across Company departments to support and facilitate purchasing, work orders, production, warehousing, etc.
• Identifies and effectively resolves problems in a timely manner both individually and with others by skillfully gathering data, objectively analyzing information, and developing creative alternative solutions.
• Set up new accounts
• Issues RGA’s (Returned Goods Authorizations) when warranted
• Ability to edit, compose letters and reports, review correspondence for accuracy and completeness, prepare public presentation outlines and develop standard form letters and replies to inquiries.
• Ability to interpret technical, legal, regulatory laws and clauses, i.e., Farr Clauses, ITAR regulations, Foreign Corruption Act, etc.
• Ensure that AMBAC maintains its Department of State regulation
• Develop and maintain a system to control SECREP reporting and bill authorizations.

 

Education/Experience Required:

• Preferred education in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation is required.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to articulate ideas and information logically.
• Good organization abilities are needed.
• Must have computer experience with a strong knowledge of Excel.
• Experience with government contracts a plus.
• Multi Lingual preferred.
