Quality Engineer at GREENVILLE

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Quality Engineer in Greenville SC.  Outstanding opportunity to work for a great company!  Temp to hire position! 

 

Job Description:  Individual will be assisting the Quality Manager with primary responsibilities associated with assigned areas. 

 
Pay Rate:   $48K - $60K – depending on prior experience
Shift/Hours:   1st Shift:  7:45 am – 4:15 pm


Job Requirements


  • Review product quality
  • Quality” contact person to the customer base
  • “Quality” representative on Process and Continuous Improvement Team(s)
  • Operating compliance to the documented management system of process specific activities
  • Manage “Control of Nonconforming Material” process including analysis and disposition of internal and external nonconforming products.
  • Manage “Improvement” process including continual improvement, corrective action and preventive action
  • Manage “Control of Monitoring and Measuring Devices” process
  • Manage “Document Change Control” process and updates to Control Plans and PFMEA.
  • Manage “Measurement Systems Analysis” process
  • Manage “Validation of Processes for Production” process
  • Conduct product and manufacturing process audits
  • Facilitate/Conduct validation testing
  • Participate in management system audits (member of the internal audit team)
  • Support PPAP submissions according to customer requirements and AIAG methods

Education/Certifications: 

  • 4 year technical degree (preferably ChE, EE, ME, IE, QE)
  • ASQ Certified CQT, CQE, CQA
  • TS 16949 Internal Auditor
  • Successful completion of formal training regarding the TS 16949 standard
  • Successful completion of formal problem-solving training

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in quality capacity at Tier I or II automotive supplier or automotive OEM
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Process and product auditing experience
  • Knowledge and skills:
  • Proficiency with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • Proficiency with the application of basic SPC
