Job Description
The Maintenance Director is responsible for the upkeep of the facility, including the building, building systems and grounds. This key position plays a key role in the safety program of the facility.
Key responsibilities include:
Position is responsible for overall maintenance for a 120 bed facility.
Directs and executes preventative maintenance program, general repairs, and unit turns
Assures compliance with comapny standards, local/state/Federal regulations, including fire & life safety
Works within established budgetary guidelines
Conducts regular inspections, identifies needs, executes correction and/or coordinates with the Regional Maintenance Director
Experience in Senior Living is preferred
Must be able to obtain criminal background clearance per RCFE regulations.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/ Experience/ Requirements
Must possess,as a minimum, a high school Diploma/or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance and upkeep.
Must have a working knowledge of blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, mechanics and HVAC.
Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulation.
Must have a thorough knowledge of general building and equipment maintenance
Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies/personnel, and the general public
Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, guidelines governing maintenance functions of the long-term care facilities
Must have management skills and experience
Must have current and valid drivers license
Must pass a background and drug check as well as TB test
Must have flexibility with schedule
