Eaton Electrical, Power Distribution Control Assemblies Division facility located in Greenwood, SC manufacturers Power Distribution and Protection Equipment for the commercial, industrial, utility and petro-chem markets, has an opening for a Engineering Manager - New Product Development.
Position directs and leads all LV Busway and Non-Seg Busway product development activities, product development budgets, participating in establishing strategic product development needs, providing support for applications/standards issues and directing and administering the career development of direct reports.
A. Directly supervise the activities of reporting Design Engineers, Design Technicians, and Laboratory Technicians.
B. Develops and maintains detailed project schedules incorporating resource management, milestone
deliverables, and administration or PROLaunch process for new product development activities.
C. Takes overall project management responsibility for all product line development projects, including
coordination with all supporting functions including, but not limited to, Applications, Quality, Manufacturing,
Purchasing, IT, Sales, and Marketing.
D. Provides technical and application assistance to field sales.
E. Assists in the resolution of quality and engineering errors.
F. Maintains 5-year strategic product roadmaps.
G. Works with internal and external customers in support of developing engineering specifications for any
product development needs.
H. Provides a presence on industry technical societies.
I. Take responsibility for developing, maintaining and managing departmental and program spending budgets.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering from an accredited institution is required
Minimum five (5) years experience in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering assignments and project leadership
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Position Criteria:
Advanced proficiency in mechanical and electrical principals.
Will not consider candidates that require sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
Working knowledge of plant product lines preferred.
