Sales Executive - General Manager Development

Marmon Highway Technologies is seeking a few select people for its management development program.

MHT will provide, as a start, immediate hands-on work in a manufacturing setting, as well as the opportunity to fulfill a sales or service role.  Through experience gained while working at a manufacturing facility (locations in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Carolinas), as well as 30% travel throughout the United States, successful candidates will be prepared for a General Manager role. 

We are seeking individuals who have:

• A technical and/or technical sales background with 3 to 5 years of commercial experience. The technical background may include engineering, manufacturing, aftermarket parts and service or a related field. Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred. Sales experience would include interface with customers either directly or through third party distribution;
• Ability to relocate, as well as travel;
• Strong work ethic;
• Solid base of business background and experience;
• Excellent interpersonal skills that include the ability to work effectively and closely with all constituents: hourly workforce, executive management, and customers;
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed, aggressive yet adaptable spirit that thrives in an environment which requires the candidate to independently set direction and lead others;
• Ability to think outside the box through demonstrated problem-solving skills, initiative to spot problems, creativity to develop solutions, poise to make sound recommendations, and confidence to implement;
• Experience managing others, as well as reading and understanding P&L statements is preferred;
• A technical degree from an accredited university (desired).
