Human Resources Generalist (12113je) at Florence

A major Textiles Manufacturer is in need of a Human Resources Generalist to work at their plant 1 hour from Florence, SC. Their facility is expanding, and they have recently invested in new machines.

Requirements:

-Must have Bachelors degree in Human Resources or an HR-related field
-Must have at least 3 years of experience in Human Resources at a Manufacturing facility
- Must be knowledgeable in benefits, compensation, state and federal laws, and employee performance
- Computer Skills - requiring Advanced level of Word / Excel / Power point / 10 digit key pad
- Prefer HRIS applications experience
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong follow up and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

- On Boarding New Hires: making sure paperwork required by federal and state laws is completed
- Distribution of Employee Handbooks (editing and updating as appropriate)
- Process new employment procedures, including setting up drug screening tests, employment documentation, etc.
- Provide new employees with detailed safety orientations and retrain all the employees when new methods or equipment are introduced
- Maintain strict confidential information
- Assist with scheduling interviews
- Assist with recruiting / screening of applicants
- Answer employee questions - increasing as needed
- Document Employee files
- Be a resource for department managers
- Other Human Resoruces related duties may be assigned as required

Compensation: $50k - (DOE)
