Job Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for all operational and financial aspects of your restaurant. Your specific duties will include:
Exceeding customer expectations of service, food quality, and cleanliness
Hiring, training and disciplining associates
Ensuring the profitability and strong financial performance of your restaurant
Maintaining company standards in food safety, product and facility specifications
Addressing and resolving customer complaints quickly and professionally
Implementing marketing programs to attract new customers
Developing a successful restaurant business plan, including budgets, marketing, sales projections and evaluation of competitors
Working with the Account Manager to control purchases and inventory
Filling out and submitting all required reports and maintaining records in a timely and accurate manner
Ensuring a safe, secure, and healthy restaurant by following sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations and maintaining security systems
Keeping up to date on industry trends
Maintaining a positive company and brand image through involvement in the community
Job Requirements
As a Restaurant General Manager, you must be self-motivated and energetic with a firm and confident leadership style. It is also important that you have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, a firm commitment to customer service, and the ability to present a professional image at all times.
Specific qualifications for the Restaurant Manager position include:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 1-5 years of quick-service restaurant management experience
Minimum 18 years of age
Steady and consistent work history
Strong P&L skills
Exceptional analytic, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to train and motivate a cohesive team
Solid organizational, time-management and planning skills
Familiarity with back-of-house equipment
Familiarity with cash register/Point Of Sale system
Basic computer proficiency
Casual dining or concession stand management experience, a plus
