Environmental Health and Safety Manager (12112je) at Florence

A major Textiles Manufacturer is in need of an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to work at their plant 1 hour from Florence, SC. Their facility is expanding, and they have recently invested in new machines.

Requirements:

- Must have Bachelors degree in Industrial Safety or a related field
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance in a manufacturing environment
- Must have demonstrated experience as a manager in EHS safety
- Must have working knowledge of Federal and State regulations
- Must have Good Communication skills (Speaking/Writing/Reading)
- Computer Skills - Word / Excel / Power point
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision

Responsibilities:

- Organize and attend all necessary safety meetings on site
- Comply with local and national environmental laws and regulations
- Anticipate and evaluate any risks and develop ways to mitigate risks
- Submit regulatory reports in a timely manner
- Evaluate and understand all manufacturing process that occur in the plant
- Uphold ISO 14001 certification
- Establish monthly safety training protocols

Compensation: Salary - $80k (DOE)
