Position Description

We are searchingfor a Mechanic Heavy Duty Construction Equipmentfor ourRidgeland/Savannah, SCbranch as we grow and expand our business. This is an exciting time at Volvo Rents where challenge and rewarding growth opportunities await you!


Accountabilities:

Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical,

hydraulic, and diesel systems

Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair fleet inventory

Prepare and complete service documentation as required

Training of lower level technicians

Conduct equipment demonstrations for customer use

Source and requisition parts

Candidate Requirements:

High School Diploma, Certified mechanic preferred

Minimum 5 years experience in similar position

Highly developed mechanical background and own tools

Demonstrated ability to work on HD, Diesel, and small engines

Experience in construction equipment industry preferred

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Advanced ability to read schematics and diagrams

Use of MS Office applications required

Excellent communication, organizational, time-management, and

customer service skills

Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with good interpersonal skills

Fluent in speaking and writing in English
