Job Description

OUR COMPANY BACKGROUND

In addition to outstanding compensation, our benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, life insurance and many others. Our North American Operation is expanding and it’s now hiring WELDERS to:

1) Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.

2) Tack-weld or weld components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.

3) Cut work-piece(s), using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.

4) Melt lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to joint or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form.

5) Install or repair equipment, such as lead pipes, valves, floors, and tank linings.

6) Observe and or perform tests on welded surfaces and piping assemblies, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.

7) Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.

8) Remove rough spots from work piece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.

9) Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

10) Heat, form, and dress metal parts, using hand tools, torch, or arc welding equipment.

11) Ignite torch and adjust valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame or arc.

12) Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.

13) Develop templates and other work aids to hold and align parts.

14) Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.

15) Perform all of the above tasks while working in compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and company safety, environmental, and quality guidelines. Examples: Hot work permits, Lock Out Tag Out, Line Breech permits etc.

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Welding Certification;
  • Minimum 5 years as a welder preferably in chemical industry;
  • Exceptional metal working knowledge needed;
  • Detail oriented, demonstrated high level of accuracy and to work safely;
