Junior Cost Accountant at Aiken

Junior Cost Accountant for a manufacturing plant near Aiken, SC. Our client is a leader in its field and part of a $1 billion manufacturing company. A BS/BA degree is required along with 2+ years of cost accounting experience. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory. This is a new position created by business growth. Our client is a profitable and stable plant/company.

Duties:

• Setup new parts in the cost accounting system
• Manage incoming requests for new part setup from various internal customers to ensure completion in a timely fashion
• Work with other departments to ensure all part add requests and cost quote requests are completed in a timely fashion
• Create/maintain bills of material
• Prepare cost summaries for manufactured parts
• Support monthly closing activities
• Other general accounting activities as assigned

In addition to a 4 year degree and 2+ years of experience, qualifications are:

• General knowledge of accounting processes and transactions
• Intermediate excel skills required including vlookups, sumif, and pivot tables.
• Quick learner with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and conflicting deadlines

For this position, our client will not relocate and will only consider applicants living in the area bounded by Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC. This is a permanent/direct position. All applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
