Instrumentation & Controls Maintenance Technician at Charleston

This position is based in Charleston, SC in an industrial environment. The focus of the work is to support a clients automotive test lab that is sometimes fast-paced and always dynamic.

To be successful in this position you should:

- Be familiar with the use of standard hand and electrical tools.

- Be familiar with standard safety requirements for working onelectrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

- Understand standard schematic diagrams and plan drawings.

- Have experience in electrical and electronic circuit troubleshooting.

- Have experience in electrical or electronic repair and soldering.

- Have a working knowledge of power related components such as fuses,circuit breakers, transformers, and relays.

- Have experience with installing wiring, connectors, and terminators forpower distribution and control signals.

- Be familiar with construction and fabrication of electrical and electronicapparatus in a working environment, including 19 inch equipmentconsoles.

- Have a working knowledge of fabrication and repair of pneumatic andhydraulic components.

In this position you will work with limited supervision but regular interaction with DSC and client team members. You will provide technical support to the client under the direction of a senior technician. Attention to detail, professionalism, pride in finished results, strong interpersonal skills, and a self-directed approach are mandatory.

Requirements

Military training in electrical/electronic technology is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required. The ideal candidate will have both military and civilian experience.
